I grew up loving to draw, and won awards for my art in high school. I attended college at the University of South Florida in Tampa where I began to paint. I worked in the outdoor advertising industry in Florida, painting billboards This led me to take commissions for mural work which I continued to do when I moved to Pennsylvania. I received an MFA in Painting in 1995 from The City College of New York. I have been teaching at St. John's University and Bronx Community College since 1999. I have taught a variety of creative subjects including watercolor, oil & acrylic painting, drawing, photography, graphic design, arts and crafts, and art history. I divide my time between New York City and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where I continue to make art and exhibit my paintings.
