16" X 20", acrylic and collage on canvas. This painting was inspired by a book called the Bible Code II by Michael Drosnin. In this book he discusses a a computer program that was created to search for hidden phrases in the Torah. By eerie coincidece certain related words and phrases were found near to or overlapping one another by this program. The program searches through the Hebrew letters that make up the text of the Torah and finds words spelled out horizontally, vertically and diagonally. For instance, when the computer searched for the words "President Kennedy", "to die", and "Dallas", all were found near one another in the text. All of this was explained in his first book titled, Bible Code. In his second book, Bible Code II, the auther claimed that this program found phrases that indicated to him that there was going to be a nuclear war in the year 2006 that would usher in the end of days. I showed this painting a couple of times last year, but now it's 2007 and we didn't have the war that was predicted.
