Maasai Jumping

The Maassi people are very friendly and hospitable. When we entered their village, which was a group of huts protected by large walls of Acacia thorns, they all lined up to greet us. The men began to jump up and down. This is a symbol of manhood and virility among the men, and they compete to see who can jump the highest.
